Hi,

I have searched the internet far and wide for an answer to this question and kind find it, nor can I find any previous forum posts with my specific question.
It is regarding question 9b. regarding my temporary resident status, during the eligibility period, and whether I was a visitor, worker or temporary resident permit holder. I was on a two year working holiday visa with International Experience Canada, and was in posession of an "open work permit". I don't know which of visitor - worker - or temporary resident this is, as it doesn't specify anywhere.

My second question is regarding question 11, where i have to list and date all periods of employment. I have often held 2, or 3 jobs at any one time in Canada. Do I list these employment dates even though they overlap, and even for jobs that I held for just a couple of weeks?

Thanks in advance,

Lukas

1. If you had an open work permit that means you were a worker.

2. If the employers overlap, it’s fine, as long as there are no gaps in the reported dates.

Thank you guys!

I have a follow up question regarding overlapping employment. I often held several (3-5) part timejobs at one time in the last 5 years. The longer term employers overlap the short term ones at both ends. Is it necessary to include the short term ones. For example:

Employer 1. Employed from November 1st 2013 - September 1st 2016
Employer 2. Employed from November 30th 2013 - December 1st 2013.

Would I even need to include Employer 2 in the list, considering my time in canada has been accounted for by employer 1?

Another tricky example - at one point I went on an extended vacation to another province for 3 months. During this time I was employed for 1 week, in this other province. Would I simply list the dates and employment, sandwiched between 2 sections of unemployment?

Sorry if this sounds ridiculous. My employment history is a bit of a mess.

When you were on vacation, were you still employed or you were between jobs?
Overlaps are fine. In addition, they check for your income tax details which will show your employers so no point in hiding..Put everything truthfully..

When I was on vacation, I was still employed, but just not actually working for a while. But took up another temporary job.
