We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada has been completed.

Does it mean that there is no more check anymore and I will get it for sure? Even if I just quit my job?

oh but your PPR was sent in Jan/14th I thought it was today... Once your PPR is sent out that means you have been approved and visa will be stamped in your passport so you can start getting ready to come to Canada. Congratulations...

Thanks for replying, Superboy. I have been live in BC since 2006, separated from my boyfriend who is living at Ontario. I just quit my job which I hated so much but had been worked for 2 years just for the sake of getting my PR. I hope I can get my passport back soon. I thought I would get it back 2 weeks ago but I guess You can never tell about the CIC. :-X

You know, as a provincial nominee, you are not supposed to leave your sponsoring employer until AFTER you land and become a PR.

Someone mentioned you are not supposed to leave the employer before you receive your PR. Can you prove that or are you just speculating?

As a PR applicant under a PNP sponsorship, you have to remain employed by the sponsor until you receive your PR. If you leave your job, the sponsor will then report their withdrawal of sponsorship to the provincial department. They in turn, will inform CIC that the PNP has been withdrawn and the PR application is then refused.

If you have quit your job, I am afraid there is a good chance that your PR application will be denied. Just hope the paperwork crosses in the post or there are tardy employees that do not inform CIC in time.

This is from the BC PNP website:

http://www.welcomebc.ca/wbc/immigration/come/work/about/information/withdrawl.page?

Withdrawal of Nomination
Strategic Occupations - BC Provincial Nominee Program - Withdrawal of Nomination
Your nomination may be withdrawn at any point prior to CIC issuing you a permanent resident visa if the BC PNP is not satisfied that you meet the original requirements under which you were nominated. Reasons for which the BC PNP may withdraw a nomination include, but are not limited to:

The Province is advised that information provided in the nominee’s visa application is false or misrepresented.
The nominee leaves their employment in BC, changes employers or is deemed to be no longer living in BC

Without the Nomination, there is no basis for an application for PR therefore, if withdrawn, it will be refused.
