What is this "There have been no updates to your application (XXX)"

Yesterday I received an email from CIC saying "there have been no updates to your application (XXXXXXXX) since you last checked your account. ...."

Anyone received such email? does it mean/indicate anything?

seems its regular for all online applicants

Guys, dont worry... its just a regular cic update... You'll soon recieve another update via email saying "We are still processing your application".
Its absolutely normal

if you check the box "receive monthly updates" then every month on the date you submitted your application you will receive that message.

I applied online, today is the 40th days without any update!
although the procedure had to take 2-3 weeks.

Yea online is a headache. I would never recommend it. Takes so much time. I have seen many ppl applied after me and got their results 2-3 weeks ago.

As I noticed and understood, paper based applications are way faster than online.
