Hi
I am new to this forum and I was hoping to get some information regarding the "Ready for Visa" email.

Received the email today but I am traveling to India (from US) in the next two weeks. My wife is already in India (she is the secondary applicant).
Is it possible to get this confirmation of residence at Canadian Embassy in India instead of sending the Passports? If not, what other options do I have?

It takes only one week to stamp and teturn. Why don’t you do it here and go for your trip. If you want to do that in india you got to reply an email to the listed in the ready for visa email summary. And then you got to wait 1 or 2weeks for there response And mean while you got check you medicals if its still under validity. So make it clear apply here and go to india.

My wife is in India and nowadays they don't allow to send passport via mail outside the country. I have sent them an email, awaiting reply. Can you elaborate on 'check medicals for validity'. I didn't know they could expire during the application process.

I also got a similar e-mail.
