Please can anyone tell me the current validity of PR visa?

The validity is the date stamped on the visa - usually one year after completion of the medical (or the valitity of the passport, if shorter).

as mentioned by BC2013 the validity of the Visa stamped is for one year from the date of Medicals or the validity of the Passport. This is the time in which you and your dependents have to land in Canada, after you have done first landing then to maintain the PR status you need to stay in Canada for more than 730 Days (2 Years) in every rolling 5 years.

To get the Citizenship you need to stay for 3 years in a period of 4 years and you can apply for Citizenship and that will remove the condition to maintain the PR.

In my case we have submitted our MED's except my wifes X-Ray. She is pregnant right now and will undergo X-Ray after delivering the child. Does this mean that her visa validity date would be a few months ahead from mine.

i jus recieved my passports .. exactly one year from the day i gave my medicals!!!

Although am aware of the one year validity but a friend who just landed said it is now 6 months from the date of the issuance of the visa!
