once u have fulfilled all the basic requirements of education and work within Alberta, the time to process ur PR file is 25 months "AT LEAST" from the date ur application was received...u can check further details from their website.

Yes, it is 25 months. I hear many students do not plan to study in Alberta because of the longer waiting period.

Not worth going to Alberta. I would say British Columbia or Saskatchewan are the best bet for students looking for easy PR.

But are there jobs in British Columbia?? .... I don't think so... alberta seems to be the best place to get jobs, I guess if you are taking a 2yr program in Alberta you should be fine... I am currently in Ontario and confused on where to go either Alberta or BC

there are jobs everywhere man! what are u talking about? if they needed more skilled people from around the world , why would they change the policy and make it PRACTICALLY impossible for international students to go to Alberta?

and i guess u didnt read the link i gave thoroughly. it states, u have to complete all the requirements to file in your PR request and after that, i.e, submission of your application it would take 25 months to process that. it means, u need to have completed 2 years of FULL time work experience and have ur course completed before u can apply for PR. it would most probably mean one needs to either come back to their country or get LMO to just stay in Canada for the next 25 months. and No one is sure if your application would be accepted to get PR... so much hassle...

Job opportunities are good in Alberta; though 25 months for PR is a long enough time and a negative factor.

You can apply for PR trough CEC with 1 year work experience... Not compulsory you apply through PNP in Alberta
