what is the possible reasons for DD to be not cashed?

Can anybody help me to know the possible reasons for Bank Draft to be not cashed after 2 Months from sening the applications?

did they receive the application. Did you courier it?

If they did receive it, perhaps its in a queue. Someone said recently that the turn around time for CIO is 2 months now.

Is the Bank Draft of 550 CAD that we pay to "The Receiver General of Canada" cashed before our document is evaluated or after the evaluation and selection of the document has been done?
How long does it take for the selection process after the draft has been cashed?

Hey Aryan161,
usually ppl get their PER/NER mail 20-30 days after DD encashment.

CIC encashes DD after the completeness check is done (if applicant have provided all the papers required) and then proceeds with applicant's assesment against FSWP criteria (sufficient points, working experience, funds, etc).

PER/NER is issued based on the results of this asessment.

I have yet another question...
Is there any possibility that CIC has forgotten to mail me my PER/NER? Is there any way to know?
Is there any chances that I might get AOR directly from the VISA office without getting the PER/NER?
Its already been 35 days since my BD was encashed....
