what is the medium periode for admission (Québec universities ) ?

Dear all,

I have submitted an application for a university in Montreal two days ago for September 2014 intake, and I am wondering about the processing time, so I appreciate if you guys can give me some numbers.

I have read in a group of international students on Facebook, (those who have applied to the same univ I've applied to) a lot of them didn't receive any response even they are going for winter 2014 !!!

I am afraid that the university will not give me sufficient time to apply for CAQ and study permit !

You still have got enough time to apply for CAQ as well as your study permit so you dont need to worry about it yet as its been just 2 days when you applied for admission, BTW which uni have you applied your admission for in Quebec. and also for CAQ it will be matter of a month or so, but uni might take up to 3 months for a final decision and it also depends on the deadline of fall 2014 intake.

I have applied to ETS Montreal (école de téchnologie supérieur) because I am Algerian and had studied in french.

the deadline for fall 2014 is on May 1st so do you think they will wait till that time to give me a final decision ? the study permit in Algeria take a minimum of 2 months and sometimes up to 4 months.

It depends, some institutes do wait until deadline but I am not sure about university in which you've applied, you can email/ call them to confirm but it would take around 2/3 months if they do process it before deadline.

I have got admission yesterday, but it's conditional and I think I don't have to worry about this right ? because I've been told that this case is most common for master students !

the problem is : I've requested admission to Fall 2014 and they admitted me to winter 2014, means NO SUFFICIENT TIME TO APPLY FOR CAQ AND STUDY PERMIT !!!! what can I do now ?

In the admission letter, they mentioned that this offer will not be available only if I subscribe in this winter !! I undestood that I can't report it at least to May 2014 ??

the most issue with my case is the bank statement : as I've requested fall 2014, I know that is sufficient time for me to get the required money as I am plannig to sell some properties and my dad also.

My brother is working now in Europe and he is ready to send an official letter to the embassy stating that he will sponsor me with 1300$/month as he has a very good job and stable life and a very good salary too !! but with only 8000 CAD in my account now this will not be enough to get the visa right ???

please friends, any answer will be highly appreciated !
