What is the difference between Generic & University categories of Study permit?

Guys!! I do not mean to be patronizing but use your common sense!! If you're going to a UNIVERSITY, don't you automatically know that it's the UNIVERSITY category that you need to apply under!?!?!?!?! *sigh*
General category is for those who are applying for COLLEGES which are either not part of SPP, OR are those students who don't meet the SPP criteria OR who have already been previously refused a Canadian visa.

I am in a similar situation. I have 3 checklist here

1. SPP
2. General
3. University

I have not been able to get any kind of information about which checklist to use. I am going to Brandon University in Manitoba for a 4 year program. They haven't given me any information either. Can anyone help me here about which checklist to use.

somebody pl help...which category shuld i apply into university or generic for short term study visa ?? will the univ category require me to take medicals even if my study is less than 1 year ?
