What is the best way to transition from student to PR?

Hello all,
Can I get recommendations on how to transition from study permit to PR in NS?
My wife has a study permit and I have an open work permit which expires in two years. Her program of study is construction management in Nova Scotia. Do we

a. Submit an application for PR on my OWP after 12 months (assuming I have a job in skill level O,A,B)

b. Submit an application after she has worked on her PGWP for a year (assuming it is in O,A or B)

c. Which method is best express entry or PNP?

d. Given that my background and masters reflect hotel management and multilingualism (Spanish French English) is there anyone in this forum that has received PNP and PR with a similar background in Nova Scotia?

e. How do we map/chart our path to arrive at the most likely success possible?

Any and all recommendations will be welcomed. My concern is that my NOC 0632 does not seem to be in demand, but we do not want to wait for another 4 years before applying for PR as the rules may change again. Is there anyone from Nova Scotia who has received PR within the last 8-12 months in this forum?

PNP tends to take far longer than EE; therefore if you qualify for both, you'd obviously go for EE.

You should read up on the PNP program in Nova Scotia:
https://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/

You should also read up on Express Entry points structure to see how what score you should expect to receive (and therefore how likely you to qualify):
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

I think most people would prefer to qualify through Express Entry (without an LMIA ideally). Best thing to do is read through those two links and decide yourself which is more likely.

You guys are awesome...I will check out EE. I didn't look at it because it seemed daunting and from the draws so far only PNP and persons with job offers were getting ITA, so I thought it would be a waste of time. Also, could I still create an EE profile even if I am already on an OWP?

Thanks again for your help!!

Of course you can - it would be ridiculous to have to wait until your work permit expires before applying!

Express Entry Draw #6 was the first to include people without an LMIA/PNP. A score of 481 was required.
