What is my status?

I'm starting to get a bit worried as I am clueless to what stage I'm in.

AOR - 17 May
Medical Passed - June 26
Biometrics Completed - July 8

And I have not had any update since then.

As far as I remember, my BG check used to be 'your background check is being processed, we will let you know if we need more information' before passing the medicals I think but now it's 'Your application is in progress, we will let you know once we start your background check'.

I read about a lot of people getting updates and changes from stage to stage, ghost updates, NA statuses and so on but what I said above is the only updates I recall about my application, so I'm wonder what stage I'm at.

I initially thought updates were coming in quick and I was glad no request for additional documents or anything has come yet but it seems it's stuck somewhere. Any idea what stage I'm at? Could I be under additional security screening? Would I need to get GCMS notes to find that out or would I be informed through my account?

Any help appreciated.

You need to calm down. It’s been even less than 3 months since you are in the process.

I suggest you wait for 2 - 5 weeks and order GCMS notes to see what’s going on and if you are being assessed

I'm fine with waiting. Was just wondering whether there was anything wrong with my application or I was under additional scrutiny mainly because there hasn't been much updates on my account as opposed to people who keep mentioning switches from IP1 and IP2 and NA, ghost updates, and so on.

Also because it says they haven't started with my eligibility or BG yet, so I was wondering if it's normal for these things to sometimes never even be updated or whether them being stuck means additional security is already in play.

But thanks for the replies anyway.

If your BG has changed from 'your background check is being processed, we will let you know if we need more information' to 'Your application is in progress, we will let you know once we start your background check', the mostly likely case is your eligibility is either MET or Recommended Pass ( just an observation). You are still very much within timeframe and need not panic. People from Oct or Nov are still waiting for PPR. You can call IRCC to know exact status.

Thanks for the reply. You're right about the PPR, but see in your case you got a ghost update and eligibility met around 3 weeks or less after submitting biometrics, I've had no such update after more than a month of submitting the biometrics, eligibility still being checked, thats why I thought I might be under security checks.

Thanks anyway

You can't be under security if your Eligibility is "met" or "recommended passed". It has to be "passed" by an officer.

My Eligibility is "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." for the past 3 months.

Don't go by what update you see in CIC account :) I have same status for eligibility, however I called IRCC on receiving GU. The agent was nice to update me and she said that eligibility is MET. so what I have observed is - if your BG status changes somewhere around 2 months of AOR, there has been some update on eligibility ( although might sound silly that there is update on eligibility but change in BG check)
