what is my status

My IELTS score is band 6. If I calculate my points including IELTS it becomes 71. Do you think it is OK for skilled worker category? I have more than 8 years of job experience which meets the 38 NOC. My age is between 25-45. I know there are some other factors are important here. Just for curious, what is my present status, plz tell me.

You have enough points. The pass mark is 67. Apart from having enough points, you also need to have at least one year continuous skilled work experience and then you need to meet the requirements of one category of the ministerial instructions, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

well, if your points are over 67, and u have the exp. in the NOC category, I suggest you apply before they make any chnages in the category.
