What is my best option for PR?

My current situation:

I’m 23 from UK and my wife of 2 years is 21 and Canadian. I have been here in Canada since April 2017 on a 2 year working visa.

Questions:

What is my best option to get PR without having to stop working for a long time or at all, if any?

Is there an option which would allow me to leave Canada during the application process and get back in without problems?

Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions. It’s much appreciated.

If you plan to leave Canada during the processing, you should apply outland, which does not have a work permit option. You really should have applied earlier, as there is little chance an outland app will be done by April 2019. You will have to stop working, likely for several months.

If you intend to remain in Canada during the processing, you can apply inland with an OWP, which takes about 4 months to get. If you got the app in soon, you likely would not have to stop working.

Thanks for the responses!

If I apply inland within the next week or two would that be enough for me to stay in Canada or would I have to get some kind of extension to stay here while my application is first being processed?

Is there a checklist of things I will need to apply inland, including a link to the application itself.

I would hate to mess this up but there are clearly lots of very knowledgable people that are willing to help

If you apply inland with an OWP app, that is sufficient.

Am I able to submit my application without all required documents but send in said documents at a later date?

What options do I have for paying?

Thanks as always. Much appreciated!

No. If you submit an incomplete app, expect it to be returned.

Pay online.

Again thanks as always for the answers.

If I was to let my work visa end when it’s supposed to when would I have to leave Canada? All other visas aside.

If you don't apply for anything else, you need to leave Canada before midnight on the day your permit expires. If you stay beyond that, you will be in Canada illegally.

Yes you will as applying for PR inland or outland gives no status. As advised earlier, if an OWP app is submitted at the same time, you will have implied status until a decision is made. It is important to note, if your application is returned and your work permit is expired you will have no status in canada. I suggest NOT rush the application and very thuroughly review the checklist and required documents and then submit it. These types of things shouldnt be rushed or taken lightly
