What is it like to live in Montreal? (hopefully not THAT off-topic)

Hello guys, I successfully applied on August 16th. and have been daydreaming about what it would be like to live in Montreal. It is of course, a dream of mine and I try to read on google as much as I can but I would love to hear personal experiences and whatnot about what is it like to actually live there. Any comment is appreciated. Wether it's about food, costums, weather, social perceptions, cost of living, affoardability, things to do/NOT to do and so on I am interested.

It is such an open ended question. I would recommend you to check some blogs and search online ans ask specific questions here. I have been living here fore 6 year. I love the city
