@ mossee what documents did you show, other than the ones that you mentioned? and did your spouse have to show that they have any ties to their country like a lease or job? and did they have to show proof that they could provide for themselves for the 6 months? sorry for all the questions, Im just curious.

I see a lot of good results and a lot of bad. not sure if I should worry or not :p

@ kourts

I brought along a copy of my entire application, inc. FBI checks, criminal record checks, etc. Everything that was required for the application (* except my marriage certificate which I FORGOT!). And of course the was the only thing the agent asked for. She actually asked me to go home and get it. But when I showed her my letter from CIC-M that I had been approved for sponsorship, and that our app. had been forwarded to Buffalo, she said that it was OK and that I did not have to get it anymore. Her demeanor changed completely when she seen that. She then asked my husband where his "worldly possessions" were. He just told her at his parents house. She asked him if he planned on working up in Canada, which we just matter of fact stated, he can't. Then she excused herself and came back with a visitor record good for 6 months.

The only additional document my husband brought up with him to prove his ties was a bank statement, that has his american address and funds etc on it. She didn't ask to see it.

For your husband to get a TRV, he has to prove that he will leave Canada when the TRV expires by showing strong ties to his home country (or another country, if he works somewhere else).
You are applying under the Live-in Caregiver Class, right? So you cannot go back to your home coutry to wait for his PR with him. You have to stay in Canada while your PR is being processed.
