I would like to know what happens in the case where embassy is closed at bf'd date.
One of my friend has bf'd tomorrow but high commission is closed unfortunately.

Will his file be reviewed next day? or will he be given new bf'd?

Its bad news for him i'm afraid??

Hi Qorax,

I applied for FSW back in Nov-2007. About 1.5 years ago I arrived to Canada on a work permit, as soon as I arrived I requested the visa office to expedite my case and got almost immediate reply requesting to submit full application, which i did in May 2010.

Today, I received my CAIPS notes today and noted that by BF'd date is more than 6 month due...
- The file seems in a "birth" state, nothing filled, case status shows just 10 points for age and 0 for all the rest. All designators are at 0
- Paper file sent to ADG, File BF'd to PPS on 2-08-2011!
Is there a problem here? Shall i contact the office? How can i move my case forward?

I will much appreciate your advise. Many thanks in advance

like i know "AM" stands for a location and GSA is a immg officer so location does the "AM" stand for...

Hi Qorax.

It is 6 mos already from our medical exams and up until now, we still don't have our passport request. We requested CAIPS and we got it today. According to CAIPS, " PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF'D TO : TAG ON 16-11-2011". Upon research in other threads, PA means storage file, TAG is the name of the VO and the date is the bring forward date.

As you have explained, the VO should have touched our files before the BFD right? How come there is no update yet on what is happening. In the CAIPS, there was indication that as to crim, we already "passed". As to medical, our stage is MO1. What comes next? Is there something that I need to look further on? I find it odd that people who have done their medicals before and after us were already given their passport request. Does it matter that the space after BDEC is still blank? How come in MEDDEC, OREQ, the same still has 0 on them. I am at a loss. We plan to land sometime in June. I am not really sure if the visa will be given on time.

The GCMS notes (replacement of CAIPS), each category have due dates, does the due dates represents BF'D as in CAIPS? Because I have received my GCMS, and due dates are 10/02/2012, but have no heard anything from the VO. so frustated thanks

On the first page of CAIPS it says my BFD is 30 November 2012. But on the GCMS there is no BFD, but there is a Due Date of 6 April 2012. This is under APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT.

I was reading up on the forum about lack of BFD in GSMS notes and it seems that this Due Date is equivalent to BFD of CAIPS notes.

Now it seems I have two BFDs 30 November 2012 and 6 April 2012, which one you guys think is the valid BFD. Please help because I am really stressed out about this. :-\

6 April 2012 is your BFD. because ur medical request is on 16th nov 2011. it is valid for one year. so they can't put 30th nov 2012.

Well the bfd date that u have seen in CAIPS of ur 6 pages must be something like this FILE BFD..... RET microlocator.. bla bla... so that is the date when ur wife's file will go to the archiving section... u should definitely get the file closed atleast by august 2012.. so the due date shown in ur gcms must be followed... bcoz that is the bfd date now...hope that helps
