Hello,

I am an international student in Ontario. My program of study is one-year post grade diploma. I will complete my diploma in April 2018 as a full-time student and then will apply for the post-grad work permit. I would like to know what is the best route for me to get PR? I am very worried as to get a full-time job in one year will be very challenging

As I will probably get the one-year postgraduate work permit.

What are options for me? to apply for PR and continue my stay in Canada?

Looking forward to getting some positive suggestions.

Best regards

If you can afford it, you should consider instead adding a second one year post graduate program before you start to work. This would be the best route if PR is your objective

Just keep in mind though if you go for a second 1 year program you cannot work in the time between separate programs.

I would strongly recommend taking a second 1 year program so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP. Otherwise your chances of getting PR are quite low. As explained above, if you decide to take a second 1 year program so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP - you will not be able to work at all between the end of your first program and the start of your second program.

Sorry, I don't get it?what do you mean? Can I apply for Ontario nominee program?
If so you can only apply to the HCP stream as FSW for OINP. You cannot apply to the international students stream of OINP as it requires a job offer.

So did you go for a second course? or got PR based on one year study and PGWP?
please share your experience with us... :)

Just keep in mind though if you go for a second 1 year program you cannot work in the time between separate programs.

Some people say that we cannot work during that time and others say we can. My agent said you can work between 2 separate programs for full-time officially. What to do? How to clear confusion.
