I have been reading a lot that people are getting aip but what is AIP? Can someone help me understand ?
Also, can i take online classes without study permit ?

It's short for Approval-in-Principle. Just a temporary two-stage approval process that the Canadian minister of immigration proposed to expedite study permit processing for students set to begin their studies in the fall of 2020 and it ended on 15 Sept, 2020.

So it doesn't apply for Winter 2021 intake ?

If you applied before 15 Sept and the LOA you applied with shows that the start date is in the fall of 2020 then you'd be eligible for AIP, even if you chose to defer until a later date.

No i haven’t applied yet. I have just been admitted for Winter 2021 intake. I was confused about Aip. Now it means i am no longer eligible for Aip. So will I be considered for study permit directly?
