Hi,

is it possible to stay back after the PGWP got expired, irrespective of our profession?

can we continue the job that we do with PGWP, after it's expiry?

thanks :)

No, not without an Approved Labour Market Opinion and a new work permit.

Hi PMM,

Mate I have a question for you.

If a student has done a one year PG diploma program and then has got one year work experience in skill level O,A or B via the PGWP, does that person qualify for PR?

I was reading under the Canadain experience class, for a student to get PR, he/she should have done a TWO year education program (and not one) and should have one year of skilled work experience.

So that means I dont qualify for PR as I dont have TWO years of education in a Canadian institution.

Is there any other route for me to get a PR status in Canada.

Your inputs would be valuable.

hellboy i guess u didnot read that carefully if u apply for PR through canadian experience and ur profession is mentioned in the NOC then u can do that with 1 year expereince as well.. regardless of ur duration of study in canada..
study only matters when u want to apply for PR on the basis of canadian qualification...

actually this is my understanding of what i read from cic website , may be u can check with some one else but it is clearly mentioned there read that once again ... ;)
