It's a study permit, not a full one.
Read about study permits on IRCC website. It's a paper document issued by CBSA at a border point after being approved by IRCC. IRCC send you a letter of introduction containing the information needed for CBSA to search for you on the ircc database and your study permit is printed and given to you at the border.
Additionally if you are visa exempt, you travel to Canada with the ETA automatically issued to you when approved for a study permit. All you receive is its number.
If you're not visa exempt, you have to submit your passport to a VAC for affixing a temporary resident visa or TRV into your passport, you're sent back the passport, you travel to can't on the TRV.
A study permit is not a stamp. A TRV is not a stamp. A stamp is no longer placed in your passport Von arrival in Canada unless you ask for one.
