What is a File Transfer?

What exactly is a file transfer and how does one get informed about this?

You get an mail/e-mail from the CIO that your application is approved and you need to submitt full app to Visa Office ( This is AOR)


Week ro two after this letter the CIO, transfers the file to CHC. This is transparent to applicant. You can see this only in your ECAS status

Does the transfer date always appear when you login and click on the case information or is this information only temporary, I mean available for only a few days.

Ankit, when did you mail in your packet to CHC ND.

You also mentioned that the transfer date appears 2 weeks after first AOR, in your case there was a longer delay? App filed in dec and transfer took place in May?

Hello

I checked my status online for the Initial Response from Sydney.This is what it shows

" We received your application for permanent residence on December 17, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 12, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

There is no mention of File Transfer or anything .Anything to be concerned ???

Did anyone have a different status besides this ONLINE ?

Can you give a sample about what is shown about the "Transfer of File".

My file was transferred on 17th Feb, I have mentioned 5/5/2010 as file transfer date to depict when I sent the Full Docs to CHC.

So Ankit,the file transfer status was updated after New Delhi received your papers Or after you received your letter from Nova Scotia?
