Oh, finally I can post
In a question related to the age limit for the International Experience[see 1], it says that you don't need to be under the maximum age to enter Canada.
However, I was wondering...
...What happens if you turn 36 while your work permit for the International Experience is in process (which takes 6 weeks)?
Or even worse, what if you turn 36 while you are waiting for the CAL (Conditional Acceptance Letter) which you need to apply for a work permit to begin with?
I'm asking because, once you submit the information in your Kompass account, you may be given a place in the quota, or put on a waiting list. And who knows how long you will be on that waiting list.
Thank you in advance and kind regards.
[1] This is the question I'm talking about:
My IEC application has been approved, but I am about to turn 30/31/36 years old. Do I have to enter Canada before my birthday?
No. Your Letter of Introduction is valid for one year from the date of issue and is not affected if you turn 30/31/36 years old within its validity period. You do not need to enter Canada before you turn 30/31/36 years old as long as your Letter of Introduction is valid.
