What if the application was lost?

My application was received on May 4. So far no AOR. Call them yesterday and confirmed not in the system yet. The operator asked for all kind of my ID and Canada post tracking number, etc. If they can not locate my application, what should I do? Anyone experienced in that? The operator was nice, she said that do not expect immediate response.

It is not a joke. If they lost it, I have to prepare and resubmit?

If my application was lost. My wife will face visa renew issue if no AOR. What you guys suggest?
 
Relax.. It takes time to receive AOR, and sometimes there's no AOR at all, especially now their online system has been experiencing difficulties. If it's lost then yes, you have to do it all over again. When is your wife's TRV expiring?

Yes we experienced the same thing, we could see everyone who submitted their applications after us getting AOR's except us. When we called CIC they couldn't find anything in the system, we gave them the sponsors UCI, receipt no and the courier tracking no and kept following up. They were able to find our package in a week and we received AOR.

Don't worry, as long as your tracking number shows it as accepted, there is very little chance they will "lose" it. I've only ever heard of apps getting lost in the mail. IRCC losing apps is exceedingly rare.

It's more likely they are just behind in AORs.

Thanks. We certainly hope it could be resolved next week.
 
Sorry to hijack your thread but I have the same situation.

CIC cannot find our application and it was received April 27. We're trying to call them bac
