What if my spouse lost the passport from express entry form

We have submitted an express entry application. But my wife has lost her passport that has been used in that application. We did not receive any invitations yet. It is in pending status. Do I need to update it somehow in the system? Will it effect on the application?

You can edit it in your profile without submitting a new application.

This will affect your application if has already received a new passport but you have not updated the details in your profile.

New passport will not affect EE or PR application. Just use the most recent passport when filling out the PR application.
