What if my employer intentionally provide fake information that is different from what in the reference letter?

Hi going2CA! I mean as my application has been successfully submitted and is in the background check process, my employer might get the CIC calling but they say this guy's experience is fake.

Can’t do anything about that. Only way is to give another person number who can vouch for you or now that it’s submitted just pray and hope a call doesn’t go through
