What if cap reaches after applying?

Hi All

I am preparing to apply for the fsw 2014 but a little skeptical on the caps and the way its starting to fill. To make things worse there is no proper updated information on the current actual figures.

My question is that by the time I get my application ready and submitted (in a about month) what if the caps have reached its limit. What would then happen to my application and more importantly the fees?

Thanks for your reply. I understand our application and fees will be returned. What about our educational degree verification. How long are they valid for? Do we have to send them again as well with the new application?

The ECA (WES) is valid for 5 years. Everytime you send a new Appln to CIO.. you must provide the Original of ECA and also IELTS besides other documents.

CIO will return your entire package (incl all forms/ documents etc.) if the Cap is filled.. but they send it by regular mail (Canada Post) and there's no certainty when it will get delivered to you.... depends on your location as well.

Like everyone says your app and fees get return. But its critical to be aware of time lines. Initially I wanted to apply for FSW, and they were down to 100 spots left. I had started my application and by the time I was done they reached the cap, so I never submitted it. I used a Law firm and they advise to wait for the next cycle and just have all the stuff done before hand. I did and When they announced the new caps I submitted my stuff. I lost a year for applying to late, but I still got in
