Hello,

I am thinking reappearing for CELPIP, as my score currently is 12-12-9-8, with that 8 decreasing a lot my CRS score.
Had I known about the re-evaluation earlier, I'd have done it, as 8 is on writing, but it's long past the 6 weeks period.

My CELPIP is valid for the next year, but let's say I redo the exam, and score lower overall.

My question is: Can I keep my previous score, since it's going to be valid, or the most recent counts, irrespective of validity period?

From the info that I have/read on CIC, the most current score has to be entered and will be taken into consideration.

Just ignore the second exam if it's lower, you can still use the 1st one

I have not found any relevant info either on CIC or CELPIP websites, that clearly describes the above scenario, but based on my understanding, I think that I would be able to keep my 1st score, since it's still going to be valid.

However, if anyone has any experience or has found that info, please share it!

CIC will not search for how many tests you have done, and they do not care as long as the test you are using is still valid.Think of another scenario: what if you now take the IELTS and fails to score CLB7, does that mean you cannot use the CELPIP result anymore??! of course not

You submit whichever you want as long as it is valid.
However, before re-taking the test, try re-evaluating your score. Usually the writing and speaking are lower than the reading and listening and there is a chance to improve them slightly through re-evaluation. Re-evaluation takes about tow weeks and costs $50+tax. If your score changed, you will be refunded as well. Just give it a try.
