what happens when i have not gotten a decision and my classes have commenced?

I am Amon, i applied for a study permit in Feb in KENYA but up to now I havent gotten my decision yet. i have called and emailed the immigration but nothing tangible has been Forthcoming. My question is,what am i supposed to do now since my classes are commencing on 4th May?can the immigration issue me with the study permit after my classes have resumed and what happens next?

Yes, you can get a study permit after classes have commenced. You need to contact your college and tell them that you don't have a permit yet. They may defer your admission or provide another solution.

IRCC will take as long as they need in reviewing your study permit application. They aren't particularly concerned about when your classes resume, unfortunately.

You will want to be contacting your university and ask them what procedures are in place if you cannot attend classes because you do not have a study permit.

Thanks for this response.do you also mean that the immigration cannot deny me the visa based on the fact that my classes have already commenced?The US embassy have earlier denied me a visa simply because the date oF commencement on my letter of acceptance had already been surpased by the time of the scheduled interview.

No, as far as I know this is not a ground for a flat denial. Especially since you applied well in advance of your classes beginning.
