Actually, the officer has not given my work permit back after landing formalities done at the port of entry in Canada border, I intentionally asked him what about my WP he said it is not required anymore and Landing paper(signed CoPR) is enough to work in Canada. Is it the case for all CEC candidates won't get WP back even though it is not required to work in Canada?

Not sure what you are asking?

They remove your work permit as it is not longer valid and you don't need it as a PR.

The officer took my valid work permit to check the landing formalities and it is not given back to me, we knew it is not valid anymore as we got the PR. But, I am worried if we would lose to track of my WP in any circumstance in future.

Why would you need work permit in future ever? You take your stamped COPR and get your new SIN. Nothing to worry
