What happens to original documents when application is rejected?

Hi All,
I have a question for the people.
Does anyone know if CIC rejects an application, do they send any documents back?
Or we loose the original PCCs and IELTS certificate?

I don't think that is true, I believe other members received their documents back after their AOR got rejected.

In this case, the application wasn't rejected - it was simply incomplete, and returned to the applicant before it was processed. SenoritaBella is correct: when the application has been processed and rejected (which is the scenario the VO asked about), documents are not returned.

You mean by processed as in after receiving the AOR? I had no idea! As if it's such a hassle to send them back.

The heading is "Do not submit originals unless otherwise stated as documents submitted will not be returned". But I would like to assume this will be the normal scenario when application is accepted or rejected on a basis/reason that could not be easily overcome.
For a regular rejection like some document is missing or this document does not describe your responsibilities or I am not convinced that you worked for 1 full year, etc. there is a good chance that the candidate is going to apply again which is when the applicant would need some of the originals. And anyway, CIC has already rejected the application and would not any of the applicant's original documents at least.
The least they can do is send the originals back. Remember, they are sending the whole application package back when they are returning the application.(the top of the checklist should apply here as well)
Or may be the rule is not to return anything once they have actually processed the application irrespective of the outcome.

Sorry, just curious... Why did they all get rejected? It almost seems that more applications get rejected than that they get accepted.

Hi.. They are rejected for not being able to provide reference letter and some of them were rejected stating that they failed to provide explanation of the same.
