Multiple people were confused with what you said. Not just me. So, yeah, may be it was actually confusing but you are convinced it wasn't. Nothing more to say there.

Anyway, thanks for your attempt at assisting others. That's good.
I am not sure why you think I would appreciate a thank you from you, someone who didn't ask the question  Who do you think you are compared to other members? I don't post in these forums for you. It's obvious you think of yourself as better than others.

I think I'm just another volunteer here and a normal human being that says "thank you" to other people. Been around for a while. That's all I am. But looks like you are someone who wouldn't appreciate a genuine thank you and are too sensitive and take things very personally (unlike most people).

But, you've confused me again because I did answer the OP's question.

Nothing will happen and life will move on just fine. Applying for citizenship is a choice, not an obligation. They can still apply later on if they change their mind.
And once again to clarify the confusion you created.

Sorry but your post wasn't very clear and it was confusing.

Anyone can apply for citizenship if they meet these factors :

They are currently a PR of Canada.
They have a physical presence of 3 years in the past 5 years in Canada.
They have filed tax returns for the years they were supposed to file a return in the past 5 years.
They are not prohibited from applying for citizenship.

"So, if 5 years passed and they were eligible but didn't apply, and then another 5 years passed, they could be not eligible to apply if they didn't meet the requirements in these last 5 years"

The statement above is confusing.
"Who do you think you are compared to other members?"

I'm not sure what you have against me and why causing trouble here. What's your problem? Multiple people said you were confusing, just suck it up and move on. People make mistakes all the time, I'm sure I do. Just take the suggestion and move on. Why do you have to take things this personally and act all macho?

I'd rather spend time answering questions than argue with you so I'm going to simply "Ignore" you. I don't care if you waste your time but I sure as hell don't want to waste mine.

I'm out.
