What happens if I make two applications in two countries for a TRV?

I am an Indian citizen and applied for a TRV recently in India (online). The estimated processing time at the time of my application was 16 days.

I realized y'day that the estimated processing time in Hongkong is 3 days. Since Indian citizens are given visa on arrival in Hongkong, I was thinking of going there and making another application. I know it might delay the processing. But 3 days with some delay is still better than 16 days on time. What do you think?

I wouldn't do it. The 3 days is just an estimated processing time. It's entirely possible your application through Hong Kong could take much longer (weeks or even months). Typically processing times for TRVs are much longer when you apply from a country where you don't have citizenship or residency. I would stick with the application you have already submitted. But obviously your choice.

Hi,

First, stop panicking :)

It is always advisable to apply for visas in a country where you have legal immigration status (citizen, PR, work or study permits, refugee status, etc). Applying from HK will not help you
