Hello everyone I am in very weird situation. I got open work permit and worker visa until 2027 and permit has been issued at the airport after that i did my medical exam and i left the country. I saw conditions on the permit and when i searched i understood it is because of medical exam. I can’t understand if i do medical exam why it doesn’t change automatically instead of applying a new permit anyway as i work on ship i had to leave Canada and I followed instructions and applied to remove conditions. I did not know that it is a new permit application, after I apply there I received an automatic letter saying that my current permit is valid until some date or until the decision is made and i can use my permit until then. It was also written on Ircc page that it is free but after 4 months i received a letter to pay fee and i did.
When i was applying that i was not in Canada physically and later on i saw the information on the page that i need to be in canada to apply that but i was not. Now i am worried about the things below. I asked IRCC staff by phone but one person said your permit will be valid even if application is refused, another person said it is cancelled if the new one is refused. They all give different information.
Could you please help me with the questions below?
1-) Is my open permit still valid and if my application to remove the condition will be refused can I still use my recent permit until the date 2027? If so what is this letter saying that it is valid until they make a DECISION.
2-) As i said i have W-1 worker visa until 2027 but in this case can I return to Canada with the permit i have now?
3-) It they issue me a new work permit without conditions and send this to my address in Canada but if i dont have it in my hand physically, can I still fly to Canada and say that when i enter i will get the new one from the address it has been posted?
4-) Removing condition is a free application or not? If it is free i have been asked to pay and i did , how to get refund?
