What happens first?

My husband and I sent our application in and it was received in Mississauga over a week ago.

I just wanted to know when we can expect to hear something back, or when we'll be able to view our application status online. They're supposed to be contacting me when they open our package because I am missing the option C print out (Immigration told me they'd ask me to fax it, and I would not drop back in que because of it)

I am not asking for a date (such as, in a week!). Just want to know what they do, when I get a client ID number, etc.

Greatly appreciated! We're so excited and restless to finally have our package there.

The current times are below and you can check the link for updates. Once they "Open" your package you should be able to check the status of it online. Once they processed it you will get a letter letting you know if your sponsorship is approved or not.

So, do they send us a letter with a client ID or something after the start processing?

Well hopefuly you paid your fees online, and if you did you can use the recipt number to check on the status of your kit. You will only get a letter after they finished processing it with your Client ID and such.

Okay. Yes, I paid online. But it will not work until they open my file, correct? I tried to view it and it was unavailable.

Yes once they open the file your online recipt number will work, verses waiting two+ weeks for your letter and case id# to arrive...
