What happens after your visitor visa application is accepted?

1) The Canadian immigration puts it in their database then when you arrive in Canada, they just put it in your passport.

2) You have to to mail your passport, they put a visa in it and mail it back to you

3) You go in person to VFS or the embassy and they put the visa in your passport and you can walk out with it on the same day

4) you can choose 2 or 3

5) something else

Normally you are asked to mail in your passport, they add it to the passport and they send the passport with your visa back to you.

Ok thanks for the info. How long does the processing usually take and is there an option to do it in person if you're in a rush?

I did option 3. It is not the same day pick up, as VFS will give it to IRCC and vice versa. It took 3 days before I got my passport back.
Option 2 might take time as it is done with a courier.[/QUOTE]
