What happens after AIP? American citizen in Canada

I just received my AIP and my sponsor received an email saying they are an eligible sponsor. I've already passed my medical exam and have done background checks in both America and Canada. It's been roughly six months since I submitted my application. So I guess I'm wondering what will happen next. My main concern is if I should apply for an open work permit or if I should wait if I'm going to get my PR approval in the next month or so.

Okay I received an email saying that the processing of my application has been received and I should hear from them immigration office in Calgary soon for the finalization of my application. So this means I'm *basically* approved? How long of a wait until landing interview do you think? Sorry for all the questions, super anxious and excited!

Congrats! You’ll get the appointment within a few weeks. I guess it depends how busy the Calgary office is. When you do get the appointment though, it’ll be at the Harry Hays Building. When you’re done the appointment, you can go downstairs to Service Canada and apply for a SIN right away! Parking can be a bit pricey so I’d take transit but it’s up to you.
