Don't worry, nothing will happen, I have seen lots of my friend has sent additional documents like Employer reference letter and T4 etc, and their file has been processed without delay

But make sure you don't send n number of additional docs in different time

collect all the additional docs send at once

I agree. Also, do not forget to attach a cover letter explaining the reason for the additional / updated document.

I agree nothing will happen, but there is a catch to it. Every-time you send addition documents it will be verified, validated & reviewed before it gets added to you application. If some kind of discrepancy is observed in the new document which raises concern during review process it might delay your processing. It has happened in lot of cases where applicants have sent Updated Employment letter and their application processing had gone for secondary review (which means few more additional months of processing). At the same time people had no issues by sending additional documents. Both has happened. So my advise would be unless its really necessary do not send additional documents.

@cecstatchk, please share your thoughts on my situation

My file is under review required with few concerns from VO from last 2 months, got to know abt it from my GCMS notes and I have sent additional document to clarify their concerns even though they didn't ask for additional info, whether they will pick my file right away while they adding info to my file for re-review or they just add the additional document I sent to my file and some one pick my file when my turn comes ( I assume files will be picked close to due date , i.e 13th month after filing application )

I send my application by post on 11th of April 2014 to Sydney, Nova Scotia and realized that I miss my T4 and RL1 along with the application. Can I send it along with the explanation letter to Sydney office by post or I can send that by email ?

Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

Wait till you receive your AOR file number. After that you can send those docs to CPC Ottawa off.

Shouldn't be a problem~ I've done it personally when I mailed in my USA FBI PCC after I sent my application package.

But just like others have suggested - I'd wait until you receive your file number so CIC knows who's application they should attach the additional documents to.

I'd also write up a quick note (it doesn't need to be a formal letter) with your name, date of birth, and file number stating what documents you are sending and just a quick thank you to them
