What financial documents required from parents when they are going to sponsor?

I have secured admission in Master of Engineering program in Toronto for Fall 2014.
I am from India.
My parents are living in a gulf country and they are going to sponsor my studies along with the sanctioned bank loan.
Please tell me which documents are required from my parents as part of the student visa application in addition to the documents mentioned in this checklist on VFS Canada website:

Please help me in this regard so I can apply for student visa ASAP.

Same question.

I just asked a signed letter from my mom. A scanned copy of her passport with her signature. And her bank statements in past year.

If we apply under "university student", do we need to furnish GIC certificate and pay 1 year/session univ fees?

All my friends who are now attending McGill did not prepay tuition before applying for a Student Permit.

That rests the case of prepaying univ fees but what about GIC?

If you have a GIC certificate, then you can use it as one of the files to show for proof of funding. I don't intend on using one though. My docs will likely only involve funding letter from my POI, my parent's bank statements, and my personal savings and investment funds.
