Hello,

Can anyone tell me please what Educational certificates or transcripts needs to be submitted for Citizenship application?

First of all, is there a need to submit any educational certificate if i have not attended any university/school in 4 years immidiately before application?

If there is a need, then what needs to be submitted?
- Grade 10 certificate?
- Grade 12 certificate?
- Bachelor Degree certificate?
- Mark sheets of all semesters of Bachelor degree?
- Post graduate degree certificate?

Thanks

Are you referring to Language proof?

From which country you have done your bachelors degree/masters degree and 10th, 12th grade?

Good question coolguysam.

I am referring to both:
- Language Proof (point 2 in instruction guide) and
- Education records point 4 in instruction guide.

2. Proof of completion of a secondary or post-secondary program conducted in French or English, either in Canada or abroad, includes:
•A diploma or transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary school indicating the successful completion of a program, in French or English, either in Canada or abroad. or

4. Education records

Provide photocopies of all your official education records if you attended an educational institution in the four (4) years immediately before the date of your application. Official education records are:

•report cards; or
•transcripts; or
•attendance records
The education records must cover each calendar year, if applicable. It is sufficient to submit one official education document per calendar year of schooling during the relevant four (4) year period. Note: You are not required to submit proof of attendance at English/French as a second language training programs.

If you haven't done any education in past 4 years then you don't need to provide any information.

For language proof you can use photocopy of your bachelors degree or masters degree. If you want you can include copy of marksheets as well.
if these were done outside canada then you can get a letter from your institute or university to show the language of instruction was in english.

Its upto CIC officer whether he determines it acceptable or not.

In this forum some people's language proof was accepted and some were not.

I don't know how CIC judges the language proof.

The important thing to note is that rhe degree/ course must be successfully completed. If the degree itself shows english medium then there is no letter required from institute/university to show that language of instruction was in english

Thanks coolguysam.

Yes i did not attend any school/university in last 4 years.

For language proof, i can submit the post graduation certificate which i completed in canada and i hope that should be acceptable
for english proof.
Correct?

Yes, you can attach the copy of your post graduate certification as long as it has been completed. You can also attach the copies of your bachelors degree.
Rest is upto the CIC officer who will check that you meet language proof requirements.

I see no problem if the post graduation certificate has been done in Canada.

Please check the Language proof section in this link:
