actually it means that a decision has been made, and that the office will contact you concerning this decision. :)

It seems that your case is successful and you are going to be asked to submit your passport for visa stamping. However, if you do not get the passport request presumably within a month, it could turn out to be negative. Best wishes & luck!

This is not true. Applicants that are visa-exempt, often don't get a passport request at all. They just get the COPR in the mail a few weeks after Decision Made status.

In general, if there was no interview, and the visa office did not send any email or letter stating there were eligibility concerns or extra information they required that wasn't sent, then the DM means a successful PR approval.

Here's the email that i got...

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident
status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Ottawa will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status.

How long must i wait before they contact me?

yeah how long we will all wait for the update/ or result ..? :(

Hello!

You need to wait patiently, presumably your medical result is not expiring soon. Normally, they send the letter by 2-3 weeks. But if medical result is expiring soon (within next 2 months, for example), you are likely to get email within a week after the decision is made.

Best wishes and luck.

Hello!

Thanks for sharing the letter. In fact, it is mentioned positively about the decision made. So, you need to wait patiently for the Passport request letter (if you're not from visa-exempt country) or e-mail hopefully before Cristmas vacation. If you're a national of visa-exempt country, you can expect to receive COPR directly (thanks ROB, for your supplement regarding visa exemption country).

Best wishes & regards,
