What does "temporary resident status maintained as per r183(6)" mean under remarks?

I noticed that under "Remarks" section of my Bridging Open Work Permit, it says "Temporary resident status maintained as per R183(6)".

I had a Post Graduate Open Work Permit previously, and I applied for a BOWP before it expired. My BOWP was eventually approved (a couple of months after PGWP expired).

Does the "temporary resident status maintained as per r183(6)" statement under Remarks confirm that I had implied status until the date my new work permit was issued?

I think it just points that you applied for extension before your work permit expired. This will help down the road when you submit two or more work/study permit. One without remark and gap between two permit would mean that first extension was refused.

183(6) If the period authorized for the stay of a temporary resident is extended by operation of paragraph (5)(a) or extended under paragraph (5)(b), the temporary resident retains their status, subject to any other conditions imposed, during the extended period.

If you would not have a maintained status, you would not have your BOWP approved.
