So my parents are on work permit visa since 2005 and since than they have been extending their religious worker visa.. But now its different my dad recieved his work permit instead of my moms they usually recieve there visa together approved.. but now there facing a challenge and we have called CIC to get my moms restoration status application before the 90 days period which ends this month on the 12th of march... Time is soooo short that I am having depressing thoughts of them refusing her religious worker visa....

Your question is a bit confusing. Have you receive a letter from CIC stating that your mother's work permit has been refused and that she must apply for restoration?

If so, hopefully your mother has stopped working since she is now out of status in Canada. If not, she must stop working immediately. She will need to submit a restoration application and fee - along with an application and fee to extend her religious worker visa.

Hi scylla the funny thing is that my dad send both of their application for extension of work permit and only his arrived with a 1 year extension instead of my moms...when we called CIC they said they did not recieve my moms app not even recorded in their system which total bullshit on cics part... So they told us to apply for restoration on my moms app...im worried

1. It is quite possible that the OP's mother has reached the 4 year maximum for a work permit.

No - it means the opposite. PMM is suggesting that your mother may have hit the 4 year limit for work permits which was instituted a few years ago. If she has hit the limit, she will have to leave Canada and remain outside of Canada for 2 years before returning to work. I would post the link to this information but the CIC web site is down right now.

She can't work under WP for four years (unless she's not under exceptio) or stay in Canada as a visitor, student or guest.

She can apply to remain in Canada as a visitor - but she cannot work. She will also stop being covered by the Canadian health care system since she will no longer be under the worker classification.
