Hi folks,
I want to know what is actually in process means after receiving AOR? what I understand it means to transfer the file to a corresponding center depending on address!
Can we asked to provide further documents or finger prints during process OR all this done before receiving the AOR?
thanks

You're correct. In-Process means - to transfer the file to a corresponding center (local ircc office) depending on the address of the applicant.

They may ask anything at any stage and it depends (as per forum members, usually they got asked for fingerprints or additional docs etc while an application is in-process).

It seems a silly and unnecessary step to send it to Halifax first and then to the local processing office. Why aren’t applications directly sent to a local office?

True that's what I was thinking for

Allows them to load balance in part of an office is over busy. People may also try and send to non local (quieter) offices to speed up processing then complain when they have to drive 20 hours for a test etc?

we are in 21st century now where anything can be done via internet and they are still "re-distribute packages physically", lol
