I am going to apply for student Visa for Jan22 intake with my spouse. So I just wanted to know how to show proof of funds of CAD14000? Can I submit $14000 together in GIC to show as proof or GIC is only for student and for spouse I have to show bank balance? Can you please help me with this?

You need to show all your cash including GIC, your 4 months bank statement. For a couple like you you need to have at least 80-90,000 Canadian or more. Then paying your whole program or the first year of your program is highly recommended. Make sure to also show strong ties to your country like properties, businesses. Make a good Study Plan.

IRCC can ask for bank statements at any-time. They can ask for proof of funds upon entry to Canada.
