Hello,

I am Canadian and live with my Irish wife and 2 children in England.

My wife has received her COPR and she is planning to land in Toronto in the next couple weeks, staying for a few days then returning to England.

We do not plan to move to Canada as a family until Summer 2013.

Just wondering what specific documents she should bring with her for her interviews with the immigration officials at the airport?

Cheers....

Just your COPR and passport are more than enough at the Landing...Its not a interview and its just a simple landing process where the Immigration officer cross checks the details on your COPR before stamping or letting you inside Canada as PR..good luck

One important thing is, during the landing formalities, your wife would have to provide a Canadian residential address where she would be staying. It is at this address that CIC would mail the PR Card. Physical possession of the PR Card is a must to re-enter Canada. Though since your wife is from a "visa-exempt" country, not sure how this would impact your case.

I think it depends on the officer you get when reentering Canada. I was told at my landing interview that I'd need my PR card to reenter, but had to go to Portugal before my PR card arrived, and was able to get back into Canada with no trouble by showing my passport and the COPR and explaining that the PR card hadn't arrived yet. It's not something I'd recommend doing, and I'm American and therefore visa-exempt, so ymmv.
