Hi Rhassan you mentioned that they will ask you on the money that you are carrying...did they also ask you for a bank statement so as to check if you still have funds for the schooling? just want to know cause my money on the bank will not be enough anymore for the 10k CAD + tuition fees because of other expenses such as like school tuition fee and my airfare. Actually I transferred the remaining to my aunts bank account in Toronto..thanks

I did not need any sort of proof. They simply asked me how much money I am carrying with me.

You can buy it from duty free shops located in the airport and also in the airplane from the inflight duty free shop. But if you carry more than 200, you will have to declare and pay extra for those I guess.
Getting arrested for smuggling would not be good when you are trying to land :)

is there a rule that we should have cash of 10,000 cad or a travelers check of that sum with us? what about if i bring a little less...while landing

There's no rule on that....its up2 u but it MUST be less than 10,000CAD. Or else you will have to declare the money at the customs.

A bank draft is usually a better option, but I doubt you have time for that.
You can carry more than $10,000 but as pointed out, you have to declare it.
