Classes will start from first week of Jan 2011. I'll put my case at CHC by end of October, leaving two months for visa processing. I am waiting for an original acceptance letter by Simon Fraser University which I will receive by the end of this month. I am guessing on it.(Do you know how long does it to take to reach here in Pakistan from Canada if sent by air-mail)I am working on the basics of financial stuff and I am gathering info from different sources so that I can come to a final conclusion regarding sponsorship.

yea it will take around 1 to 2 weeks depending on the service they use to send it to u ... and about the sponsirship dont worry u father will be a good sponser for u or ur brother but as i told u dont use a sponsership of any1 from north america that is US and canada coz that is a negative point .. better ask ur brother to transfer this money in ur father's account like in 2 ,3 months .. coz u still got time and also show some fix deposites if ur father got some best of luck and dont worry do ur home work , prepare everything and file ur case dont worry u gonna get it .. by the way do u have any idea how many students apply from islamabad each year

if my brother transfers money into my dad's account here in Pakistan, it has got to be maintained from the last 4 months. It sounds like I will have to skip jan intake if I let my dad sponsors me.

for instance, if my bro transfers money in next month october, I will have to show statements from october till Jan or Feb. Right?

I got off from talkin with someone who has got his visa, frequent user of this forum, umair81. His opinion is quite different. He told me that there would be no problem if my brother sponsors me from usa , in the end, money matters in his bank account and u will have to prove ties some other ways. Btw, i am working for an employer these days and a letter from him on job availablity back can prove ties. Most siblings and parents reside here in pakistan.

Do you agree with him?

i cant say anything yea i know umair from this forum and he got his visa as well but he is not traveling to canada i guess ..
and yea u can do that some other family ties and also a job offer letter from ur current employer will do the job ... so go for it not a problem .. but that was jus my opinion u know , i never found any1 in this situation but what i see in most of the cases when the sponser is from canada they reject it ... but may be they count US as different from canada .. so go for it

It would be a problem if my brother was working in Canada and also a permanent resident then it will definitely affect my case. One of my friends got his visa fom Australia and his older brother was a sponsor from USA but his brother/sponsor had never worked and lived in Australia, though.

So I am expecting a similar case but unfortunately Canada is located next to USA. I hope they treat USA different from Canada, though. As my elder brother has never lived there.

thanks to both of u. i have contacted some canadian embassy authorized consultants and they said that canadian Embassy ask for 4 month old statement but if u and ur sponsor shows healthy amount which is enough to cover ur cost then even 2 to 3 month statment will work

I think it all depends on case..i read somewhere in forum that Flopps got student visa for Fall even though he or she showed relative or sponsor in Canada. So there is no hard & fast rule , i think it all depends on the specific case.

@asad australian visa is much more easier then canadian ,, but dont worry as i said earlier inshallah u will get it and yes canada is right next door to US and there is no problem traveling to canada from US or US from canada ... but lets see if u present a good case i really hope that it is not gonna matter that ur brother is in US ..

as some1 else said its all depend how u present ur case and i told u this b4 as well that it all depends on how u present ur case to the VO , so jus hope for the best and be positive inshallah u will get it

From previous post - "Jiwan, don't take my comments personally. I wanted to assess your profile like if I were in VO's shoes. I wanted to give you a fair assessment instead of hurting you. These white people are heartless and emotionless people unlike South Asians[. They don't give a hoot to your future/career . They just go by the book. They follow rules. If they detect that you have been a non-serious student, they won't issue you a visa. Getting admitted into a school means nothing, there are so many schools who want to earn easy money will give you admission wihout IELTS and ignore your grades.

My cousin was admitted into a top Canadian University Macgill, scored IELTS 8.0 and showed over $100,000 for funds but what, he was rejected on the basis of showing a non-geniune experience letter from a company b/c showing a fake documet was against their law. They could not issue him a visa. Admitting into a top school means nothing if you dont satisfy other requirements. It was unusual to work in Pakistan for a company right after graduating from High School. It arose suspicion."

@asad100101 - I take offense at your statement that "white people are heartless and emotionless" If that is the case why do you want to come or stay in our country? If we are so distasteful, then perhaps you should stay or move home. Also, thank goodness that our VO's are able to spot bogus applications and people mis-representing themselves....perhaps if people were more honest the process would be easier and more straight forward for those who want to be here and deserve to be here.

@canidian yea i totally agree with u its an offensive statment and i guess i explained this to him earlier , and i also agree that there so many complications in the visa process jus because of fraudster and bogus documents and cases and because of the people who really want to study and deserve to study in high standard institues in canada or anywhere else in the world are suffering but anyways i guess he didnot meant to say what he right may be he was angry or something .... 8)

In the past, "white people" used to kill "black people" for fun? Correct me If I am wrong.

Please stop killing innocent people with drone attacks. Please stop breaking international laws because white people are so law-abiding people. It doesnt suit them. Please don't occupy lands of third-world countries. Please stay back in your civilized countries.

1. Why should you take offense at my statement if I say the hard facts? I don't take offense at statements utterd by white people. They call us third-class citizens, backward people. They call our countries horrible, and they don't treat our leaders with respect when they tour their countries. When your leaders come to our so called countries do you think our leaders make fun of them? they don't wink, do they?


Anyways, I had seen white people behaving rudely with older citizens of my country at local embassies. They had the audacity to treat them like they had no right to explain their position during interviews so what is this rant about "freedom of speech" by westren leaders. Don't preach to others what you don't follow.

It is gonna be a long, long debate for nothing. We are hear to help each other not for a fight. I can say so many things in my defence but for what?

As far as studying and staying in your country is concerned, I'll pay money from my own pocket for everything that you provide me. In other words, I won't get free lunch from white people, got it.

I will pay money for everything from visa fees to tuition fees to living expenses under the sun. White people won't feed me off, so what's the fuss?

Yup, You are making sound like white people never commit crimes, never use under hand tactics. They never break laws. They are innocent people. Right?

Please don't take offence of my post because whatever good or bad things i have to say i will say openly. The two-faced word doesnt exist in my book. I am not kind of those people who will say something different infront then on their back they will utter something else.

@ asad earleir i agree with canindian and now i m saying that i agree to you as well.. but there are some facts brother which we have to understand , white peoples are not angels but they do commit crim, they do capture our land, they go against all the human rights... and thats is something we do also , some of us and even we do more horrible crimes then this one dont u think so . the thing is like this in every nation, every civilization there are some good peoples some bad peoples .. so we cant blame a whole nation becasue of a few bad person in that nation.... may be u had a bad experience with the white peoples , as i stated earlier i m working with many white peoples, and i have a good experience with them , they will respect u , they will treat u with equality .... but i do agree there are some bad peoples and as i stated b4 u can find bad people everywhere in every culture,nation or civilization....

anyways its not a political forum so we can save this discussion for someday else .. or we can start a new thread for it.. for the time being we should focus on what we r here for .. dont u agree with me ?
