I had my lawyer send in a couple of documents about a month ago in response to a request for documents. The Mexico City VO sent me the following e-mail with no attachments this morning:
Dear XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX,
This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada.
- We have received the original of your Royal Canadian Mounted Police fingerprint based police certificate.
- We also received a copy of your fingerprints/photos in order to obtain the PGR Mexico Federal Police Certificate. We will now appreciate you sending us a copy of the AWB with which you sent the original of these documents.

E-mail | courriel: mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
* Please include your file number, complete name and date of birth in all your enquiries.
I am guessing that by saying AWB they mean the air waybill? My lawyer checked the tracking number in the waybill and it looks like these documents were never delivered, but the visa office clearly has them. Just wondering what they would need the air waybill for - maybe to check the date it was sent?
Thanks!
