What do they check for SA?

Quick question? What do they check at SA stage?

I know they check criminal record, not being on welfare,but do they also check the intent to return to Canada and current status in the foreing country? Or those elements are adressed at the VO ?

I ask because I don't have a lot of proof of my intent to return to Canada (except flight ticket). Also, they ask to send the proof of the sponsor status in the sponsored's country. I am currently in my husband country as a tourist but I passed my allowed time so it's kind of tricky to send a paper that actually say I have no status (although it's no big deal, Im in peru and they allow you to overstay has long has you pay a certain fee).

The point is, if they just check it once it's has reach the VO office, I would send my package now. I supose by the time they ask for more proof I will already be back in Canada (my return flight is in december)

Proof of intent to return is generally addressed near the end of the whole process when CIC is close to approving the app.

Your current status in Peru won't affect the app at all.
