Hi everybody.
My name is Nguyen Tri Dung 32 years old from Vietnam. I signed contract with farm owner Kitchener for 8 months but the contract could be renewed to 4 years, and the contract show that I have to work 8 hours a day and 13.75 per hours. although when I come to Canada is very different.
Farm owner took away our passport, ID, immigration paper and force us to work 15 hours a days. if we don't work he said he will tell he friend from immigration office deport us.
He give us a container for 12 people to sleep there are nothing in the farm. we were feeling hopeless. finally we escaped from farm and run way. It is 3 years to hire in ours friends. during we live in our friend house there are some anti-communist agents come to ask us to joined their party and promised that they will help us to report to the governments about this issue and help us to change the employer But we wait almost 3 years there are nothing. Unlucky for us our anti-communist images was facebook and youtube when the anti-communist party in Canada posted our images there.
there are some Vietnamese government newspaper in Vietnam called us as traitor because we have a different political views. if we came back for sure we will spend at least 7-10 years in prisons . In this case what do we do? we are illegal alien just because the farm owner make us became illegal alien and we can not came back because we are on the black list when we are in anti-communist party. Now we can not work in this country because we don't have legitimate paper ..we can not go back... what do I have to do ?? please help us.

Sounds like utter bull to me.. According to your first post, you are a Canadian citizen. Go to the police if you have any issues.

you must call this number to report this abuses. here is the info.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING – A SERIOUS CRIME

Human traffickers recruit, transport, harbour or exercise control over the movements of a person for the purpose of exploiting their labour or services. Victims suffer physical, sexual or emotional abuse and often live and work in horrific conditions.

If you believe that you are a victim of trafficking, or you know someone who is, please read the sections below. Human trafficking is a serious crime, and you are protected under Canadian law.
Are you a victim of human trafficking?

You might be a victim of human trafficking if you answer “yes” to one of these questions:

Are you restricted from leaving the work site or your accommodation on your own?
Has someone taken away your passport or work permit from you?
Has your employer - or someone representing them - physically, sexually or psychologically abused you, or allowed it to happen to you?
Has your employer or someone representing your employer threatened you or your family member?
Do you fear something bad will happen to you or to a family member if you leave your job?

How do you identify a human trafficker?

Be aware that human traffickers entice and control their victims in a number of ways, such as:

Lying to victims about future employment, travel, living conditions or treatment;
Promising valid immigration and travel documents;
Making offers that sound too good to be true;
Threatening to harm the victim or the victim’s family;
Involving victims in criminal activities;
Moving victims from workplace to workplace against their will or forcing them into prostitution; and
Coaching victims on how to mislead officials.

Protection and assistance for victims of human trafficking

CIC helps protect victims of human trafficking by securing their immigration status with a special temporary resident permit (TRP). An initial TRP may be issued for up to 180 days but, depending on the person’s situation, can be reissued at the end of the 180-day period.

Victims of human trafficking who receive a TRP are eligible for health-care services through the Interim Federal Health Program and may apply for an open work permit. For more information on TRPs, visit the website listed at the end of this document.

NOTE: In Canada, victims of human trafficking are not required to testify against their trafficker to gain temporary or permanent resident status. There is no fee for an initial TRP or a work permit for victims of human trafficking.

TRP applications should be submitted in person at CIC local offices. Contact Us for more information about the closest CIC office.

If you think that you are a victim of human trafficking or you suspect or know of human trafficking activity, please contact your local police at 911, or if you wish to remain anonymous, call your local Crime Stoppers Program at 1-800-222-8477.

U mean we are going to police report him. Oh we did called before but they ask us to report to ministry of labor that all. now we are illegal alien if we go there they capture us and send us home we will spend 7-10 years in prison.
that is why we are asking any community or people have the same this situation have a solution. do we have to to write a letter to ministry of immigration and labour about this. or any lawyer try to do it for their favour? we will accept to be a example for any lawyer to practice the case.
